Motorcyclist Crashed into Reno Car near Vassar StreetRENO, NV (August 8, 2023) – Thursday morning, lanes were blocked following a motorcycle accident near Market Street.According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, a motorcyclist struck a City of Reno vehicle which prompted the lanes on Vassar Street and some lanes of Market Street.The collision happened at around 6:30 a.m., August 3rd, the sheriff’s office added.Furthermore, it was unknown if there were injuries as a result and the events that led to the collision were not yet released.No additional information was added by the deputies and further investigation is still underway.Motorcyclists rarely escape injuries in the event of a crash. Donut Stunt Sparks Three-Car Crash near Effie StreetFRESNO, CA (August 8, 2023) – Friday night, a multi-vehicle crash on Bullard Avenue, caused by a reckless driver, resulted in minor injuries.Police responded to reports of a man performing donuts in a silver Infiniti near Blackstone Avenue and Bullard Avenue.Upon approaching the driver, the driver did two more donuts before driving off northbound at a high rate of speed.According to the report, authorities initially called off the pursuit but noticed the Infiniti was involved in a multi-vehicle crash. Investigators said the wreckage involved three vehicles near Bullard Avenue and Effie Street.Eventually, officers managed to arrest the driver for reckless driving. OAKLAND — An 18-year-old woman was kidnapped off of International Boulevard in broad daylight as she walked the block as a sex worker, allegedly by men who blamed her for $11,000 that went missing days earlier, police said.Now, one of at least three suspects has been arrested and charged with kidnapping, making criminal threats, and illegally possessing a firearm, court records show.The suspect has been identified in court records as 33-year-old David Salazar, of Oakland, the same man whose $11,000 went missing and whom authorities allege was responsible for organizing the kidnapping plot. SAN CARLOS — A security guard shot a shoplifting suspect at a San Carlos hardware store after the man allegedly attacked the guard with his own baton, according to authorities.The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that around 10 p.m. Monday, a 26-year-old man was accused of shoplifting by employees at the Home Depot at 1125 Old County Road. A physical confrontation broke out when store employees confronted the man.He was able to take a baton from a security guard during the brawl, authorities said. The man hit the guard on the head before throwing the baton through a window near the entrance to the store.The security guard then fired two shots at the man, hitting him once.
